Interlibrary Loan Service

Who is eligible for an interlibrary loan:

Any patron of Coffee County Lannom Library or the Coffee County Manchester Public Library who has a current and valid library card. The card may be from the Coffee County Lannom Memorial Library or the Coffee County Manchester Library.

Borrowing Policies:

Patrons may borrow up to four items at one time.

Patrons may borrow books, some microfilm (census records mainly), and photocopies. Photocopies require a complete citation (name of periodical, name of article, author of article, page numbers, volume and year).

Patrons may NOT borrow audiovisual materials (audio books, CD’s, audio-cassettes and/or videocassettes).

Patrons may NOT borrow periodicals. Photocopies of articles will be sent.

PLEASE NOTE: Libraries will not send genealogy materials from their collection. We may get the location (libraries) of where you can find the item (that you requested) so that you could go there and do your research. If you know your interlibrary loan request is a genealogy book, please DO NOT ask us to try to get it for you on interlibrary loan.

Please expect one to two weeks wait before your interlibrary loan arrives. Lending libraries usually allow two to three weeks borrowing time. Some allow renewals but usually university libraries DO NOT allow them. Please be prompt in returning interlibrary loan materials. You will be charged overdue fines on interlibrary loan materials.

If you need the material by a certain date, please indicate by month/day/year. Do not put ASAP. If we cannot get the material by that time we will strive to notify you.

Please respect the interlibrary loan privilege. You are responsible for lost or damaged materials and for all processing fees.
